At Beal’s recent Medical Assistant Advisory meeting, there was excellent discussion regarding externships and ways we can work together improve the experience for both Beal students and our externship partners – such as less administrative hours and more clinical hours. It was great to hear that Beal College graduates are still sought after when practices are hiring. There is a current and ongoing need for new medical assistants, which resulted in an engaging conversation on how to attract more Medical Assistant students.
The difference between distance education vs. online classes was also a topic of discussion as the college starts to embrace distance education by making class materials available through an online learning management system (LMS).
