Maine Competitive Skills Scholarship Program – The CSSP scholarship program The program is for eligible Maine residents to access to post-secondary education – including certificate programs and two- and four-year degrees. Applications for CSSP are accepted at Maine Career Centers either during a Statewide open application period or as openings occur in specific counties.
Nursing Program Scholarship – The Ruth Milan Altrusa Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Husson, Eastern Maine Community College, Beal University or University of Maine (Orono campus) nursing program who has accumulated fifteen (15) credit hours. It is awarded by the Altrusa International Chapter of Greater Bangor.
The Mitchell Scholarship – awarded to graduating seniors from Maine’s public high schools. The Mitchell Institute’s guiding tenet — that no Maine student with the qualifications and ambition to pursue a university education should be denied that opportunity due to limited financial resources — is as important today as it was when Senator Mitchell established the Institute. Higher Opportunity for Pathyways to Employment (HOPE) Program helps families with low incomes afford education beyond high school. The HOPE Program offers eligible students financial support for costs related to education:
