Dr. Klaus Heyer – Adjunct Instructor, Sociology

Position(s): PhD in Urban Studies & Affairs, University of New Orleans; MS in Sociology, San Jose State University; MS Natural Resources and BA Sociology, Rhode Island College;

Dr. Klaus Heyer has over 20 years in academia and 18 years teaching experience. He teaches both Sociology and Biology and has an additional post-graduate certification in Anatomy and Physiology. His current research projects include patterns of Narcan (naloxone) distribution in New Orleans, LA. He is also leading the qualitative research component in a NIH-funded inquiry into Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy. When not teaching, Dr. Heyer is an EMT and regularly volunteers on an ambulance.
