The Scholarship for Maine Hospital Employees is an institutional scholarship funded by Beal University. Its purpose is to support the educational advancement of employees of designated Maine hospital and healthcare systems and contribute to the continued development of Maine’s healthcare workforce.

Selection Criteria and Process: The Academic Council selects recipients from applicants who satisfy all eligibility requirements. Selection is based on verified employment, completion of all application requirements, satisfaction of admission and enrollment requirements, and timely submission of the application and supporting documentation. If more than 50 qualified applications are received, priority will be determined by the date on which each complete application and all required documentation were received.
*Beal University may award up to 50 scholarships per year of $2,500 each. Scholarship funds are credited directly to the recipient’s Beal University student account and may be applied only toward eligible tuition and required fee charges. Scholarship funds are not paid directly to the recipient and will not create a credit balance, cash payment, or stipend. The award may not exceed the recipient’s remaining eligible institutional charges, and any unused portion is forfeited. This scholarship may not be combined with another Beal University institutional scholarship unless the combination is expressly permitted by the published terms of the applicable scholarship or promotion and confirmed in writing by Beal University. When combination is permitted, total institutional scholarship assistance may not exceed the student’s remaining eligible tuition and required fee charges and will not result in a credit balance, cash payment, or stipend.
