Beal’s Welding Technology Students Meet with Company Recruiters

Newport Industrial Fabrication recruits on campus from Beal’s Welding Technology program in Bangor, ME

On-campus recruiting visits from some of Maine’s leading employers

The Beal College Welding Technology program welcomed several employers on campus over the past two weeks this August to discuss their company, culture, and employment opportunities with students completing their degree this month.

The students were introduced to opportunities at Fisher Engineering, Bath Iron Works, Cianbro, and Newport Industrial Fabrication. Other companies such as Phoenix Welding, the Local Pipefitter’s Union 716, and Steel Pro offered opportunities to tour their shop and get a more hands-on approach to the job.

Robin Tardiff, Student and Career Services, organized the event. She stated, “It is great to engage the students in quality networking opportunities where they can begin to make connections and explore the companies that they want to work for and are offering great employment opportunities.” More than 15 upcoming graduates participated in the conversations that took place over the last week.
